Deed Restriction Revision - Max Shed Size

A petition to change the Estates At Dove Run Deed Restrictions Article VI, Section 17, regarding approved shed sizes, has been presented to the board by a Dove Run homeowner. The petition would increase the maximum approved shed size from 8'x10' to 12'x14'. In accordance with Article II, Changes in the Declaration, the petition includes signatures of the required number of lot owners.

The petition has been passed along to the association attorney for the revised Declaration of Deed Restrictions to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds. Until this process is finalized, no requests for sheds within the new parameters will be approved. A final notice of approval will be posted on this site.

Delinquent 2010 Assessments

The board would like to remind homeowners who have not paid their 2010 assessments that a complaint has been filed against you in JP Court for the amount of $110 ($60 assessment + court fees). Trees on Dove Run Blvd

Regarding the trees on Dove Run Blvd: Members of Town Council had a meeting to discuss what to do with the trees. They drove through and photographed the trees in question and described them as “interesting.” Next, they will meet with the developer and the parties that were responsible for planting the trees and will have them tell the town what they can do. If nothing, the town will come up with a plan B. The target is to try and plant prior to the hot summer months, so we may see some action shortly.

New Maintenance Ordinance: Lawn Maintenance

Regarding grass cutting and general maintenance, the Town just introduced a new ordinance that changes the way the town addresses these concerns. If any lawn grows more than 10 inches in height, the town can notify the owner/renter in writing. The new ordinance calls for First Class Mail delivery and posting a notice on the property itself. This way, the owner or renter is aware they are receiving the letter because it is taped to the house. Then, the town gives them 7 days to cut it. If they don’t in that time, they come in and do it. The charge is $150 per hour. There is not a requirement for further warnings so repeat offenders will continue to be fined.
