Tree Maintenance

Recently, several neighbors have raised concerns about the condition of the trees within our development - mainly the trees on Dove Run Blvd. We relayed these concerns, via e-mail, to Middletown's Public Relations Director, who agreed to take photos of the dead trees on Dove Run Blvd. The photos were eventually submitted to the Mayor and Town Council. Moreover, Richard Green presented this issue before the Mayor and Town Council on September 14, 2009, which was the most recent Mayor/Council meeting. The Mayor indicated they would investigate the matter.

Several days ago, we received an e-mail from the Public Relations Director, who indicated that the trees on Dove Run are the responsibility of Middletown. It is possible Middletown will replace the dead trees on Dove Run Blvd. However, it is unlikely that Middletown will replace any trees on residential streets, or trees in front of homes.

In essence, the homeowners are responsible for maintaining, or replacing, the trees in front of their homes.
