Neighborhood Watch Committee Update 5/12/2009
Tue, 05/12/2009 - 7:51am — spoulsonOur first meeting with the Neighborhood Watch Committee and the Middletown Police Department occurred April 22nd and was extremely informative. While many people think of a Neighborhood Watch as a handful of people that drive around in their cars patrolling the development, the Middletown Police Department does not condone active patrols. Officer Brenner has some innovative ideas that will allow us to be the eyes and the ears of our community, while maintaining our anonymity. As a member of the Neighborhood Watch program we will be provided with training and information from Officer Brenner. There will no required or scheduled commitment, but all your efforts will help us to protect our families and properties. This is our community, and if we all work together, we can help make a difference.

Community Garage Sale
Sun, 05/03/2009 - 12:19pm — spoulsonCommunity garage sale on Saturday May 30th starting at 7:30 a.m.
Our hope is that we will get a great turn out in both sellers and buyers so that we can host this as an annual event. Your kids may want to join in the fun with a refreshment stand as well. It’s a great way to teach your children about the value of money and to foster a greater sense of community in the neighborhood. Anyone interested in joining please contact me at my information below with a brief general description of what you are planning on selling. We will advertise the sale in the Transcript and through signs at the entrances.
